Frequently asked questions

Will you shoot at my destination wedding?

A.Yes! Destination weddings are some of my favorites! Keep a few extra charges in mind:

- Anything over 50 miles from Meridian, Idaho will be charged at $100 per drive-time hour with a 1 hour charge after the first 50 miles.

- Hotel overnights are charged at $175 per night

- Cost of roundtrip airfare, if required

Will you have a second shooter?

A.Maybe. An extra shooter can be purchased upon request. Second shooters help provide additional coverage during the big day to capture every second.

There is a flat rate fee of $600 to add a second shooter to be used at this photographers discretion during the wedding day.

What if I need to the photographer to stay longer than contracted?

A.I am a VERY organized photographer, and I will work with you directly to map out all the shots with a specific photography timeline that you want to compliment the wedding timeline.

In the event I am required to stay at the venue longer than contracted, I will consult with you prior to me staying at the venue the additional time, and if needed to stay, the additional hourly fee will need to be paid prior to receiving edited images. I am flexible and want to make your day is as easy and stress-free regarding photography.

What kind of photo gear do you use?

A.I shoot with Canon mirrorless and have high-end lenses and products, and use traditional SD cards.

As we all know, technology is never guaranteed, but I'm fully prepared with backup solutions on the day of your wedding.

Do I have to order prints through you?

A.Nope. But, there is a process involved to release the photos for other vendors to print. You will receive a print release, at no additional charge, should you print at a third party vendor.

You can download all photos taken, but I cannot guarantee the print quality of another vendor. Using low-end printing services, such as Walmart or Walgreens, will affect the final product. Printing with an at-home printer can also reduce the quality.

I can recommend my favorite vendors upon request to help maximize the print quality of your images.

Why is my saved image blurry or pixelated?

A.When the photos are ready, I will send you a custom link to the gallery to view, download, and purchased prints (if desired).

However, a simple right-click save-as on a photo will modify the original resolution and save it at a much lower quality, resulting in blurs and pixelation (square blocking). All photos can be downloaded at its highest resolution. The photo gallery provides an option to download one or all of the photos via an emailed zip file.

Who are the clients, the bride and groom, or the person who pays for the photography?

A.Great question! I recognize the bride and groom as my direct clients, regardless of who pays for the wedding. What that means is I ONLY take directions from you both. I know this is not popular with mothers and fathers of the soon-to-be married couple, but it is easier to keep it simple for direction. In my experience, when there are decisions makers outside of the bride and groom, it becomes confusing and complicated when it comes to photography on the day of the wedding. Now this does not mean I do not take requests by family, but it does not guarantee any images to them. Ultimately, the wedding photography timeline and shot expectations are completed with the bride and groom and any changes the day of the wedding must be completed by them, and acknowledged by this photographer in person.

How are my images delivered?

A.They are delivered through an online gallery that is available to you for up to three weeks after deliver. You will receive a link to access the images so you can download and/or print images. Images are archived for up to one year.
